Visual Arts

Our Fine Arts program is remarkably comprehensive, encouraging students to experiment while exploring how art relates to other areas of the curriculum.

Kimball Hall is devoted to painting, woodworking, ceramics, sculpture, and photography. Students at every grade level use our spacious campus as their personal canvas, with art education beginning in Pre-K.

Special courses – such as printmaking, metalworking, or working with glass – supplement the studio program. Students interested in pursuing Visual Arts as a career can take Advanced Placement courses in studio art and create a personal portfolio of work across a variety of mediums.

Beyond the physical beauty they often create, students build imagination; creativity; resilience; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; and self-confidence through their work in the Visual Arts. Our students discover new things about themselves and about one another.
