Biography

Beth Anne Jeswald came to Park in 2004 and has since been teaching Middle and Upper School French. Before coming to Park, she was a Junior/Senior High School French and Spanish teacher in a local school district for 17 years.

Beth holds a B.S. in French Education, with an additional certificate in Spanish Language. In addition, Beth holds a Master of Professional Studies degree, Reading Specialist, and is a certified prekindergarten through grade twelve educator.

In the classroom, she believes in an interactive approach to language acquisition with an emphasis on communication and developing a broader understanding of cultural differences and similarities throughout the francophone world.  Students are encouraged to explore new cultures and present their findings to their peers, in French, of course!

Beth has served on multiple professional and curriculum development committees and has worked in groups to promote better student success, particularly at the middle school level. At Park, she also serves as the Modern Language Department Coordinator, and has served as Immersion Program Coordinator, faculty representative to the Board of Trustees, peer mentor, student advisor, and Curriculum Coordinator. She is a proud Park parent of two alumni.
