Biography

Kristina Sisyukin joined the Middle School and Upper School teams at Park as a science teacher. Her teaching pedagogy involves a focus on a three-dimensional educational model that is inquiry-based. This means students are learning by utilizing the same skills as real scientists and engineers. Her classroom goals involve creating a learning environment that supports students’ interests, talents and needs.

Kristina is a graduate of Buffalo State College, with a BS in Forensic Chemistry and a MED in Science Education. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she worked as a laboratory analyst with an environmental lab in Buffalo. She soon realized she desired more social interaction at the workplace and began a job as a chemistry tutor and student mentor with Buffalo Prep Academy. From there, she took a position at Buffalo State College as an adjunct instructor and taught several laboratory sections of General Chemistry 1 and 2. These roles in teaching pushed Kristina to get her MED in Science Education. As a Graduate Assistant at Buffalo State Kristina prepared, executed, and taught a senior level Biochemistry lab on campus. Her experience has given her the opportunities to connect with many students and collaborate with amazing professionals in the field.
