Sarah Small joined the Park School community as an Upper School math teacher in August 2022. She brings a broad range of experience with her STEM background, having been a teacher with Engineering for Kids for the past 6 years. Ms. Small earned her bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, where she became a certified math tutor, aiding her fellow students improve their mathematics skills. While at Allegheny, she also worked with Operation READ where she tutored and mentored local students in their reading skills to bring them up to grade level. She received her Ed.M. in Adolescent Mathematics Education from the University at Buffalo in May of 2022 and since graduation, she has been a high school math teacher at Tapestry Charter High School in the city of Buffalo. When she isn’t teaching in a school setting, she enjoys spending her spare time cross stitching, singing, and enjoying the company of friends and family. |
