Teresa Rice came to Park in August 2022 and brings 22 years of education experience, along with a lifelong love of nature, passion for learning, and endless curiosity to the Children's House Montessori program. Ms. Teresa began her career as an assistant teacher at Ss.Columba-Brigid Montessori, and as she worked with Montessori materials, she appreciated the beauty and brilliance of this kind of education. Ms. Teresa was further trained through the Buffalo Montessori Teacher Education Program, and was immediately hired as a lead teacher at Ss. Columba-Brigid. After that school closed, she began working at The Curious Minds Montessori in Clarence. During her time there, Ms. Teresa gained lower elementary certification (ages 6-9) through North American Montessori Center, and taught a small lower elementary class, as well as 3-6 year-old students. In 2015, Ms. Teresa had the opportunity to build a Montessori program from the ground up at
St. Mary School Swormville. She and her team got to know several families very well as each successive sibling became old enough to attend the Montessori Children’s House at St. Mary School.
