Charles Hartney is Park’s Head of College Counseling. In this role, Mr. Hartney will guide students and families through every step of the college search and application process and work to prioritize college readiness and placement as the culmination of a Park education. He will also teach college seminars to all students in Grades 9-12 as part of the school’s comprehensive college advising program. He previously served as Park’s Head of Upper School, as Upper School Dean of Students, and as a full-time member of the school’s English department. Mr. Hartney also currently serves as the school’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) co-coordinator and has been a member of the Park School community since 2010. Born and raised in Buffalo, Mr. Hartney is a product of both the Ken-Ton public school district and Canisius High School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Canisius University, a Master’s Degree in English from the University at Buffalo, and he is the recipient of an Outstanding Educator Award from the University of Chicago. |
