Turner Battle was named Park's Director of Athletics in June 2022. He is a 2005 graduate of The University at Buffalo. While earning his bachelor’s degree in communications he was a four-year starter on the men’s basketball team and received much recognition for his performance both in and out of the classroom. A 2010 UB Sports Hall of Fame inductee, he tallied 1,414 points, 458 assists and 170 steals, earned 2005 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American honors and was a three-time All-MAC Academic performer before going on to a pro career in Estonia, France, Sweden, the NBA Developmental League, and the American Basketball Association before returning to his alma mater to begin his coaching career in 2007.
Over the last 15 years Turner has been a coach and mentor to countless young athletes at the Division I level. His career coaching highlights include several league and conference championships. In his new role as Director of Athletics, Turner will be charged with growing the school’s athletic program, increasing the number of athletic offerings and programs for Park’s students in all grades, overseeing the school’s physical education program, and increasing non-tuition revenue through athletic partnerships and events.
With extensive playing and coaching experience, Turner brings a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to our school.
