Mx. Paige Melin (they/them) has over 10 years experience as an educator in non-traditional, progressive contexts and joined the Park faculty in early 2022. Paige has taught with the Alliance Française of Buffalo, the Queen City Homeschool Collective, Varsity Tutors, and the University of Maine, among others. Paige received their B.A. in French and English from the University at Buffalo, and their M.A. in English with a focus in French translation from the University of Maine. In 2016, Paige studied Québecois history and culture at McGill University as a Foreign Language Area Studies Fellow. They also taught English as a Second or Other Language at the U.S. Embassy in Dakar, Senegal as a Fulbright Scholar during the 2019-2020 academic year. Paige is from Buffalo, NY, but has spent time living in France, French-speaking Canada, and Senegal. Outside of Park, Paige is a published poet and active in the Buffalo literary community.
