Founded in 1912, The Park School is a college-preparatory day school serving 300 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Through a rigorous and progressive curriculum, the School develops in students the habits of mind and essential skills that lead to success in college and life.

The Park School of Buffalo is seeking an Upper School English Teacher who is committed to teaching Grades 9-12. The successful candidate will have English teaching experience and have shown a demonstrated interest in progressive education. This is a full-time school-year position, August through June, beginning August 2026.
Key responsibilities and expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with educational standards for students in Grades 9-12;
- Evaluating student progress, providing feedback, and tracking student development;
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment;
- Collaborating with fellow teachers, school administrators, and parents;
- Staying updated on best practices in English education;
- Providing academic support for students outside of class time;
- Attending department and faculty meetings;
- Serving as a student advisor; and
- Leading extracurricular activities and being actively involved in the life of the school.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English or a related field preferred
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with current educational technology especially blended learning platforms and strategies
- Knowledge of, appreciation for, and demonstrated commitment to anti-racist and anti-bias education, multicultural teaching, and culturally responsive pedagogy
- Team player: maturity, humility, strong work ethic, follow-through, sense of humor, willingness to respond positively to feedback and a "roll-up-my-sleeves" attitude

- Able to walk throughout 34-acre campus
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
