The Park School of Buffalo is seeking a certified Lower School teacher who is committed to progressive education and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years teaching experience are required with a focus on implementing a balanced literacy program and strong, foundational math program. Experience with Singapore math is a plus.

 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the lower school level
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills
  • High level of personal organization and planning
  • Substantial coursework in diversity, equity, and inclusion pedagogy
  • Team player: maturity, humility, strong work ethic, follow-through, sense of humor, willingness to respond positively to feedback and a "roll-up-my-sleeves" attitude
  • Mastery of and enthusiasm for subject matter.

Additional Notes 

  • Able to walk throughout 34-acre campus
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Education Requirements: Minimum 

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum two years teaching at lower school level
  • Certification preferred
